June 2020

So this year just keeps one upping itself in the crazy department. Let's see if we can't distract you for a little bit at least.

First up is the fact Luck's Voice 1: Suited for Luck is out in the wilds. Links for a number of countries after this short bit. The series is set on a different world in an alternate form of the wild west. It is explicit like AG, but builds a harem much faster. it's actually my fastest building harem to date. I hope it's liked enough that it can take a rotation slot when one opens.

Audio for LV is going to go through Andie, after she does AR audio. She's been hammering down Wandering Inn 2, which is an insanely long book. For those who ask, I always give Andie the first right of refusal on a series, because of her talent, skill, dedication, and overall amazingness. The only time it won't be her is when she tells me no. That does mean the audio will lag a little further behind, but I'll take the delay for the quality Andie delivers.

BW5 is with the editors and is currently getting preview chapters on Patreon. The art for patreon is currently BW as well. For those who need that link: https://www.patreon.com/DJSchinhofen. I hope for it to be released on July 27th if not sooner.

At the moment I'm working on AR2, and it's looking like it's going to barely finish the first year by the time the book ends. I'm really loving the book, and I hope book 2 is as well loved as the first book was.

When I finish writing AR2, I'll be moving onto the next AG. This is where the bad news comes in. AG is going to be shifting to a once a year release instead of 2 a year. The popularity of it has been waning drastically, and I'm almost done with the key points I wanted to hit for the U.S. section of the story. I won't be putting the series away though, unless it falls even further. Even if it does reach that point I'll give it a good spot to stop. Sorry if that news is hard to hear, but sometimes cruel reality intrudes, even on me.

The audio for Can of Worms is on preorder with Podium still:

It's released is slated for July 14th.

I'm currently through around ideas of the next type of book I want to take a chance with in my open slot of the rotation. I might end up writing a couple of chapters of each and then asking for opinions on Patreon, but that's about 6-ish months away as Luck's Voice might take that open slot, until I put AG on the back burner.

I hope you all stay safe, from the unrest and the virus.

  1. Not gonna lie I wasn't into the whole western thing except Tombstone that is, face it Doc Holliday makes that movie. Even in the hands of a skilled author that setting is difficult to make want to keep reading. That said you effing killed it, burned up a whole Saturday. Also because I was oh so wrong about it I must provide food and drink for the weekly D&D meet. Yes I bet against you (sorry) at least i wont be razzed to much being DM has it perks, arrows to the knee suck. I hope Luck's Voice does well I know I'm hooked on another one of your creations. Please keep it up! (I hope Andie's game to do this she really is the best)

    1. Heh, at least you take losing the bet well. Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday was amazing in that movie.

    2. Yeah I was glad to lose this one. Also as part of penance for my lack of faith I've christened the Schinho Mountains where many adventures will be had. Who knows what lies deep within? My poor adventurers will never know what hit them.

  2. Heyyo, loved Aether's Blessing. Can barely wait for book 2. Do you already have someone in mind to do the cover for it?

  3. If BW5 is releasing on July 27th, does that mean that there is no release set for all of June?

    1. I always slate the release 2 months from the last publish date, to make sure we have time in case of an emergency. The fastest a release happens though is 6 weeks from the previous one.
LV1 should have been released in June, instead it was released earlier as we were able to hit the 6 weeks goal.

  4. Not gonna lie. Hate to hear the news about AG going to once a year. Still my favorite series so far. But I am roughly 55% in Luck's Voice 1.

  6. Finished LV,took a moment to get full in but it was awesome and left a five star review. I actually enjoyed the card game descriptions and the blind faith in luck theme. Also super bummed about AG, Alvin is one of my favorite all time characters. Keep writing and I'll keep buying.

  7. Hate to hear that AG is losing support. Still think that it's your best work so far. I've read the whole series a lot of times. Sincerely hope that it takes up the popularity that it deserves.
Also, just started the LV, looks interesting so far if a little fast paced. Hope you keep writing ❤️

  10. Personally, I am actually happy with you moving AG to a more rare release. I have read all of your books except for the later ones in that series.

I love BW, AW and LV as much or more than I did your earlier series and I look forward to where you take them.

It took me a while to pick up LV as I generally find western themed entertainment (of any sort) to be bland and boring.

    Not so here though!

The addition of the worlds mythos with the darkness creeping in and the additional races together with the fast pace made it a winner.

My only grievance with it is you sometimes lose a bit of detail on things that could be called "loot".

The bag in the beginning, the purse of coin in the middle, things that the MC find or is given but seems not to pay much attention to, even though it's important to the story.

Maybe it's only me that wants more detail on stuff like that, being the loot tetris lover I am! :D

Good work, and good luck on the forthcoming books!

  12. I have to say, I am hapy with AG being a bit more back burner. It's good, as are all of your works, but I have to say it is probably my least favorite of your worlds. this is not to say I don't enjoy it, or that I won't be picking up the next book, just that I would look forward to the other worlds you have created more.
